Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the hangulquest.com website, the HangulQuest mobile app, and related services (together, the "Services"), operated by HangulQuest ("we", "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Services

HangulQuest provides educational content for learning to read and understand Korean (Hangul), including videos, downloadable learning materials, lessons, and a points system that rewards learning activity.

2. Accounts

• You sign in with your email address using a one-time code. Keep your email account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may request deletion of your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). Deletion removes your profile, points, and learning history.

3. Points and materials

• Points are a reward for learning activity. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and may be adjusted in cases of abuse (e.g. automated or duplicate claims).
• Free learning materials are for personal, non-commercial use. Redistribution or resale is not permitted.

4. YouTube content

Parts of the Services display or link to our videos hosted on YouTube and use YouTube API Services. By using those features, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All content in the Services — lessons, videos, audio, images, and materials — is owned by HangulQuest or its licensors. You may use it for personal learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or use it commercially without our permission.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not abuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services.
• Do not use automation to farm points, claim materials, or scrape content.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update the Services or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
